What if they built a website and nobody came?

Hi,

Two things count on the internet:
Content and Traffic!

Of the two, traffic is the toughest. GaJillions of blogs and websites exist today, and only a few get top search engine rankings. Of course you want to target your blogs and sites to the types of customers you would like to visit you, but that's often not enough.

To really begin receiving visitors you probably need to to a couple of things:
1. Exchange Links with complementary sites for internet traffic - this actually helps your content, and also gets the search engines to see your site as more popular - popularity breeds popularity - but you knew that, right!
2. Make sure you blog is listed in relevant web directories for links and traffic. Just google directories and your subject, and you'll get a list to start researching!
3. Of course go ahead and submit your site to the popular big engines like google or msn.
4. Join relevant forums and - in a non-spammy way - include your link in your sigs. Believe it or not, these links do get indexed - and if you're respected they often bring in immediate traffic!

Welcome To Home Blog Money

I have been an online marketer for 6 years now! It's a great way to supplement your regular income, or even to build a business at home. If you'd like to spend more time at home - with kids, your spouse, or just don't like to commute so much - you can take adavantage of lots of real internet business opportunities.

If you're serious about making money from home, and lots of people are, you can get started without a lot of technical skills. If you can logon to your email account, and send emails, then you have the basic skilss to start a blog.

Everybody has some subjects they know about, and others would be interested in them too! Do you have a favorite author, type of movie, or TV show. Believe me, plenty of people have started sucessful blogs on subjects like Jane Austen or American Idol! You could also write about your current or past jobs - either serious or why you hate it!

My Point is....content is king..... In order to get people to visit your blog you need to give them a reason. You can think of something. Go ahead...get started....more on getting others to visit later....
